DOUBLE FUSION NAMES GAME INDUSTRY VETERAN MONIKA MADRID FOR VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Key Addition Underscores In-Game Advertising Company’s Commitment to Free and Ad-Supported Games for Everyone

SAN FRANCISCO – March 3, 2009 – Strengthening its executive ranks, leading in-game advertising company Double Fusion has named game industry veteran Monika Madrid to the role of Vice President of Business Development. Madrid, who previously served in leadership positions at LiveGamer and Ubisoft, is charged with growing Double Fusion’s relationship base with top-tier game publishers and platforms, across the spectrum of games that appeal to consumers and advertisers from console to casual, whether sold in retail or offered as free-to play-online experiences. The announcement was made today by Jonathan Epstein, President and CEO, Double Fusion, to whom Madrid reports.

The announcement comes on the heels of a year of double-digit revenue growth for Double Fusion, including the expansion of their successful global ad network from its foundation in core games to include games appealing to a broader set of consumers, including teens, young adults, and women over 25.

“Monika is one of the first true early-adopters of in-game advertising,” said Epstein. “Her traditional and entrepreneurial game industry background, strategic licensing, distribution and ad sales experience, and her experience with digital item sales models makes her the perfect addition to our team as we build out our growing in-game ad network of free and ad-supported games for everyone.”

As Vice President of Business Development, Madrid’s responsibilities include steering the company’s rapidly growing global network of in-game advertising opportunities with over 30 of the world’s top-tier game publishers and platforms, including recently announced strategic partnerships with PLAYSTATION®3, THQ, SEGA, Eidos and Midway Games. Additionally, she is charged with pursuing tomorrow’s gaming hits, including opportunities with virtual worlds, MMO’s, social games, and leading casual games portals.

Madrid brings over 15 years of proven game industry experience and success to Double Fusion. Prior to joining the company, she served as Senior Director of Business Development at LiveGamer, where she evangelized the company’s technology solutions to top MMO publishers, virtual world creators, and Hollywood’s largest film studios.

Before LiveGamer, Madrid worked at Ubisoft, running the North American licensing and strategic sales businesses, which included digital distribution, in-game advertising, OEM licensing, and inbound and outbound licensing. She was directly involved in contract negotiations for dynamic in-game advertising and represented Ubisoft titles to advertisers and agencies for static advertising. Before Ubisoft she was at IGN.com in business development and marketing roles. She is on the advisory board of Women in Games International.
